Hanky Code

The Hanky Code was used by gay men in the pre-web days to display their sexual preferences. A colored handkerchief (hanky) or bandanna was worn in the back pocket so that it hung out and was visible. Worn on the left side means your a dom. On the left side, means you are sub. The color of the hanky symbolized what you are into.

The Hanky Code is making a come back with new ways to display it. For examples, today’s variation include arm or wrist bands, cell phone covers, shoelaces, emojis, buttons, key chains, and many more.
